Hi, I'm an engineer who became a designer, which means I always want to know how things actually work, not just how they look.
I've been in design for five years now. I started out as a game UI designer, drawn in by the craft of making things feel alive on screen. That curiosity about systems and experience pulled me toward UX, and I haven't looked back. Most recently I was at Amazon, designing a loyalty currency program and a curated in-store experience built to compete with products like Temu. Real products, real scale, real constraints.
Now I'm in Potsdam doing my Master's in Visual and Experience Design. In between, I build my own PCs, tinker with Linux distros, debate One Piece arcs, and photograph things most people walk past.
I think that curiosity, about systems, about people, about why things are the way they are, is what makes me a better designer.

My Design Approach
I approach design with a simple rule like start broad before going narrow. I want to understand the full context first, the user, the business, the constraints, before I touch anything. Then I narrow in, define the actual problem, and start shaping solutions from there.
I think in systems but I care about the details. A good decision should work at the level of the whole product and at the level of a single button state. Those aren't separate concerns to me.
I'm comfortable being wrong early. The goal is something clear, consistent and purposeful, and the fastest way there is usually through a few things that didn't work first.

Love Photography
I’m also a big photography nerd. For me, taking photos is a way to hit pause and notice the small details that most people miss. Here are a few of my favorite moments from my travels and daily life.

Weeb Alert
I speak fluent Anime references. Whether it's the philosophy of Death Note or the storytelling in One Piece, I love the medium. If you have any recommendations (or just want to debate the best arc), I’m all ears.

Love to always look under the hood
I don't just design software but I care deeply about the silicon running it. I love building my own DIY desktops, tinkering with custom Linux distros, and debating hardware roadmaps. Whether it's the paradigm shift of Apple’s ARM architecture, comparing TSMC vs. Samsung fabrication, tracking Intel's Lunar Lake x86 chips, or geeking out over the dream of a true third OS alternative to iOS and Android and I am always reading up on the tech. I firmly believe that exploring how custom Linux environments work and understanding the hardware constraints makes me a much more grounded, realistic designer.

Trying to install Arch OS...😂"
